A Body in Prayer was written after my own personal struggles with having an effective and fruitful prayer life. I had a hard time finding time to pray, and when I did, I didn’t always know what to say. I was looking for ways of expressing my love for God not just in glittery words, but in my whole life… and I found it!
As you browse the site you’ll learn a more about the book and its ideas, and hear about other projects I’ll be working on (an hopefully where I’ll be speaking!)
So come on in, take a look around, and make yourself comfortable.

What others are saying:
Paul told the Thessalonians to “pray without ceasing.” Neil Combs shows us how. Well written. Beautiful theology. A fast read, but one to return to again and again to savor. Neil Combs teaches us to pray with our whole body, from head to toe, inside and out, using all of the five senses. Imagine the blessing of praying all day, every day. I received an ARC to review, but I purchased a Kindle version to have on my phone. You’ll use this reference again and again.

Imagine using your whole body to pray; actively thinking about how each body part can be used to glorify the Lord! That is exactly what author Neil Combs does in his new book, A Body in Prayer. Neil makes you feel as if you are sitting across the table from him and having a lively conversation about his unique approach to praying...
A Body in Prayer is a quick and entertaining read. The book effectively combines humor, thoughtfulness and practical suggestions to increase in holiness by focusing on the special attributes of each part of our bodies and how they can be used in prayer. It may have particular appeal to men, who often have trouble finding an active approach to spiritualism. –

We were blessed to receive a copy of Neil's book weeks ahead of being granted an interview with the author. If you are looking for a book for Lent -- or a book to take for a retreat weekend -- or for no reason other than rethinking prayer in your life, I recommend A BODY IN PRAYER by Neil Combs.

Your words are simple yet poignant. You draw some great analogies and pull in scripture, and relate it all back to real-life action. I have already started to make little changes in my life from some of your suggestions. Thank you for taking that leap of faith to undertake writing and publishing this book!
Dear Neil, What a great book! It was informative and so easy to understand. I felt like I was sitting and talking with you.

I haven't read a book in years, but I picked this one up and couldn't put it down. I was so impressed that I purchased another copy for my mother in Florida, and now she'll be getting more copies for her friends at church. It read fast, made you think, and gave you a better appreciation for everything around you. It was awesome!

I read a lot and Christian books are a favorite. Well this one is a must have and is now along side all my favorites. The book was such a pleasure to read not with just great advice but with Neil's subtle and not so subtle humor throughout. .. thank you Neil for your words in this book that so inspired me to notice the things in my life that God is using to get my attention.
