I used to struggle in my prayer life. Just finding time to set aside for prayer seemed to be almost impossible, despite my best intentions.  After talking about it with some guys from a men’s group I attend, I began to think about how I could incorporate prayer into my life, rather than stopping my life to pray.  I was amazed at the number of ideas I had, and thought I better write this stuff down. So I did.  The result is A Body in Prayer  At the heart of the book, is recognizing God in the things we do and see, the people we meet, and the choices we make.  Then we can see that God is always there for us, and we can have a conversation (aka prayer) anytime we want.  Setting time aside for prayer is good, but this book will show you dozens of ways to live your whole life as a prayer. Sound hard to believe?  You’ll be amazed at how easy it really is, once you start to develop a habit.  Give it a try… You’ll see!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: I was born and raised in Oceanside,NY, on the south shore of Long Island.  I attended Oceanside Lutheran Church, a small but amazing parish where I made friends that I still have 30-something years later. I grew strong in my faith as a teen there. It was in my home town that I met my wife, Mary, who is Catholic. After having 2 children, we decided to move “Upstate” to a small community called Hilton, NY near Rochester. There, we found a warm and friendly church there called The Church of St Leo the Great Catholic Church. It is a wonderfully vibrant church, very open and welcoming. While raising our kids in the Catholic faith, I learned a great deal and my own faith grew stronger as a result.  I was accepted into the Catholic Church at the same time our children were confirmed. It is my experiences at St Leo’s, in the Cursillo movement, and Youth ministry that led me to start writing the thoughts and ideas, that eventually became “A Body In Prayer.”
